Anabolic Steroids

Some athletes have tried to improve their performance illegally by taking anabolic steroids.  These laboratory-made drugs function like the male hormone testosterone to increase muscle mass, which is a genetically determined characteristic.  Should steroid usage be allowed or not?  Why?  What should be done about athletes who have won medals or set records and are later determined to have used steriods?
